What you need

PolicyDeck is web-first. You don't install anything to get your first document. You answer a few questions — app name, platform (iOS/Android/Web), what you collect, jurisdiction (US/EU/UK/Global), and document type. No API key is required for the demo path; the app runs in mock mode and returns a representative document you can review immediately.

Three steps

  1. Describe the app — Name, platform, and the data you collect (email, analytics, crash logs, purchases).
  2. Pick jurisdiction + document — US, EU (GDPR), UK, or Global; Privacy, Terms, EULA, or Cookie.
  3. Generate — PolicyDeck returns a plain-English document with the standard clauses for your jurisdiction and a note that it is a template, not legal advice.

Reading your document

The document is a starting point, not a final legal opinion. It reflects the answers you gave, so answer truthfully about what you actually collect and where you operate. Export it, then have counsel review — especially for sensitive data or regulated markets. Regenerate whenever your SDKs or markets change.

What happens next

After the first document, teams generate the full set (Privacy + Terms at minimum; EULA if they license software) and keep them in sync with the app. PolicyDeck is the fastest path from "we need legal docs" to "we have a plain-English draft" — it is not a lawyer and does not replace counsel.
